Day 1. Enchantments 8.8 miles
We out hea!!!
Whew! What a day! Today is Monday but you won’t be reading this until at least Friday night. We got up nice and early and had a hearty and healthy breakfast for 8 are Renaissance Cafe in Leavenworth. Highly recommend. Headed out to the Snow Lakes trailhead with the caravan and got all the parking figured out.
Myself, Claire, Vicky, Davey, Nick, Megs, Paul, and Michael!
The hike was definitely a bit kicker for everyone! 8.8 miles in and 4,100 ft of elevation gain. We ended up hiking in a couple smaller groups, took our time and breaks when we needed, and all made it to Upper Snow Lake in the afternoon. Alright, enough of my yapping, here’s some photos!!

We got to a campsite that is pretty close to the border of our camping zone, and with such a perfect view and swimming beach, we decided to call it home! (Possibly for the next four nights!)

Well, I wish I could write more about what happened today, because a lot happened, but it’s 10:02pm and I’m BEAT!
Summaries: Maximum stoke, grueling hike, berries, gorgeous views, magnificent lakes, Nick and Megs saw a mountain goat, beach camp, hellish mosquitos.. Am I forgetting anything? Oh yeah, more hellish mosquitos!!
